Shainah Bowens began Shai's Cakes in 2008.  

Having always been an avid baker, she decided to combine her passion for baking and innate creativity by making custom cakes and desserts for family and friends.

 

In an effort to improve her baking and entreprenurial  skills, Shainah enrolled in the Pastry & Baking Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, in June of 2011.

 

Since then, Shai's Cakes has become a growing small business - creating custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and much more!

 

Since its inception, Shai's Cakes has strived to create edible works of art that are sure to wow you and your party guests. Not only are her products visually appealing but they taste amazing as well.  After all, what is the point of beautifully decorated cakes, cupcakes and cookies if they don't taste good?
